Leo Guettler, III, also known as “Butch”, passed away in his sleep on March 27, 2007. He was 52. He was born and raised in Fort Pierce, FL.As a child he enjoyed playing baseball and fishing in the ditches of Western Saint Lucie County. He held a variety of jobs during his life, including being a disc jockey at a club called “The Duck”. Music was his passion and he was very talented at mixing music for the patrons. He was a “people person” as he made friends very easily. He had a sense of humor and loved to laugh, mostly at his own jokes! His last years were tumultuous with medical issues plaguing him, but he never gave up, and he never wavered from his love of his family.He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo “Sonny” and Lynnl Guettler. Survivors include his wife Dorothy Guettler of Fort Pierce; daughters, Christina Perry of Okeechobee and Megan Guettler of Cincinnati; Sons, Shawn Guettler of Cincinnati and James Brewer of Tampa; Sister, Rose Pazos of Fort Pierce; brother, Matthew Guettler of Fort Pierce; and six grandchildren.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 1924 Zephyr Avenue, Fort Pierce, FL 34982.
