Leo Joseph Guettler, Jr.

Leo Joseph Guettler, Jr., “Sonny,” lifetime resident of Ft. Pierce, FL, passed away July 1, 2006 at the age of 78. He graduated in 1945 from St. Anastasia's school. He attended Notre Dame University and switched to Electrical School where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He served in the Army and after leaving the service, he worked in the family business of the Peerless Ice Cream Store and then the Orange Avenue Lumber Company. He married his soul mate Lynnl Teague with whom he celebrated 50 years prior to her passing in 2003. He most recently was owner/operator of TL ranch in St. Lucie County. He was a devout Catholic who practiced his faith by helping anyone who ever asked him for a hand. He loved to laugh and enjoyed the simple things in life. He is survived by his children, Leo Guettler III, Rose Pazos, Matthew Guettler; brothers Charlie Guettler, Pete Guettler, Mickey Guettler, John Guettler, Alfred Guettler, Billy Guettler, Danny Guettler, Walt Guettler; sisters Mary Katherine Knight, Rosie Guettler, Briggette Sasser, Helen McEntyre, Jeannie Odom, Lilly Berry, Mary Ann Scurlock; 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
