Leon “Jake” Harold Hinote, Jr.
Leon “Jake” Harold Hinote, Jr., 70, passed away on December 16, 2016 in Vero Beach, Florida.
He was born in Tallahassee, Florida and has lived in Fort Pierce, Florida most of his life coming from Jacksonville, Florida.
Jake was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army, 101st Airborne. Prior to his retirement he worked for Grumman Aerospace and Saint Lucie County Nuclear Plant. He loved to fly planes and had a passion for the water, the woods and motorcycles. He was very adventurous and loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Shirley Hinote of Fort Pierce, Florida; daughter, Rennie (Kevin) Jardine of Fellsmere, Florida; son, Leon “Bubba” (Andrea) Hinote III of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; sisters, Linda Crawford of Glenn St. Mary, Florida, Pat Pope of Romney, West Virginia, Belle Humphries of Cocoa, Florida; brother, Ivan Clay Hinote of Mandeville, Louisiana; grandchildren, Cameron Hinote and Chase Jardine. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Mary Hinote.

Services: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00PM at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, Florida. Burial will take place at Black Community Cemetery in Black, Alabama at a later date.
