Mrs. Carter was born in Marietta, Georgia and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1985 coming from Immokalee, Florida.
She was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star and a member of the American Legion. She was strong willed, great sense of humor and an inspiration to all who knew her.
Survivors include her son, Merrill Bryan of Fort Pierce, FL; granddaughter, Kim Cheatham of Ft. Pierce, FL; grandson, Phillip Bryan, Jr. of Tuscaloosa, AL; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Strothers of Live Oak, FL.
