Leslie "Les" P. Lasenby Sr., 67, of Ft. Pierce, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017, in Ft. Pierce, Florida
He was born May 23, 1950, in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, the son of the late Francis R. and Dorothy E. M. (Kerr) Lasenby. He was a long time resident of Ft. Pierce, coming here from Jacksonville 43 years ago.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Sergeant with the Fort Pierce Police Department, and was their first K9 Officer. He had served as President of the FOP and enjoyed undercover work.
He was a dedicated family man and terrific friend who was funny and humorous. He enjoyed fishing and motorcycles. He loved giving back to the community in any way and was a Mason of Riverside Lodge #266 of Jacksonville.
Les is survived by his wife of 49 years, Trudy (Horne) Lasenby of Ft. Pierce; a daughter, Lisa (Thomas) Kelly of Oklahoma City, OK; son, Leslie Peter Lasenby Jr. of Jacksonville; grandsons, Joseph (Hannah) Padilla of North Carolina and Matthew Padilla of Oklahoma; a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Elaine Padilla; a brother, Lloyd Lasenby of Ft. Pierce and a sister, Brenda Butler of Sanford; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 21, 2017, from 10 am to 12pm in the chapel of the Haisley Funeral Home, 3015 Okeechobee Rd., Ft. Pierce, with services following immediately afterwards at 12pm. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce, FL.
