Leslie C. Plumb, 88, passed away on April 27, 2022in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Plumb was born in West Springfield, Massachusetts on October 30, 1933 to Ernest A. and Marguerite Plumb and moved to Fort Pierce in 1996 coming from Oakland, New Jersey.
Leslie was a retired educator. He was also a coach for the New Milford High School football team from 1968-1975, earning them state championship in 1972. He also had the bragging rights to having the longest touchdown pass for Springfield College in MA, it was over 99 yards. He was so proud of being a coach and some of his players have kept in touch with him for over 50 years. He volunteered with the Big Brothers & Big Sisters and was also an avid runner.
Survivors include his son, Jim (Liz) Plumb of Fort Pierce, FL; daughters, Kathleen (Tom) Perona of Fort Pierce, FL and Suellen Henneberry of VA; brother, Gordon (Monika) Plumb of IL; 7 granddaughters and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Plumb, parents, Ernest and Marguerite Plumb, and sister, Jacqueline Carlin.
