On Tuesday, June 29th, 2021, Leslie Elmer Seitz IV, incredible friend and father of 4 children, passed away at age 56.

Les was born to Leslie E. Seitz III and Shelia Jones Seitz on November 7th, 1964, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He moved from Jacksonville, Florida to Interlachen, Florida in 1977 with his father, his step-mother Rose Riggins Seitz, and his sisters. In Interlachen he befriended the wife of his first child, Janet Fife-Noles, and his “brothers”: Chris Cramarossa, Earl Dawson, Scott Harris, Paul Rose, Mel Warner, & Jeff Wilson. While attending Interlachen High School he participated in FFA, drama, track, football, and basketball. Les received a basketball scholarship to St. Johns River Community College & played there for a year. He received his electrician’s license from First Coast Technical College in 1999. Les worked in the St. Augustine area for his business: Les’s Pool Service, & spent most of his life in East Palatka, FL with the mother of his other three children, Suzanne Mcleod Seitz . He was known for his big heart, goofy sense of humor, and contagious smile.

He is preceded in death by his parents Leslie E. Seitz III, Sheila Jones Seitz and sisters Emily Seitz, Angela Joy Seitz-Gulledge (Eric Gulledge). He is survived by his daughters Ashley Seitz-Overstreet (Chad Overstreet), Leslie Elizabeth Seitz, Taylor Seitz, Alexis Seitz; grandchildren Emma Overstreet (Ashley), Cody Overstreet (Ashley); mother Rose Riggins Seitz; sisters Sarah Seitz Mixon (Owen Mixon), Tami Woolgar, Natalie Seitz Purdy (Donald Purdy); nephew Brock Gulledge (Joy) and nieces Sheila Seitz (Natalie), Coral Mixon (Sarah).

The service for Les Seitz is Saturday July 10th at 2pm at Bethel Assembly of God (119 County Rd 315 Interlachen, FL 32148). In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Seitz Family through Venmo (@taylorsseitz).
