Lester Chaney, 92, died December 28, 2012, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Lester was a resident of Fort Pierce since 1963, coming from Douglas, Georgia.
He was a Harvesting Supervisor in the citrus industry, an avid gardener and proudly served in the United States Navy.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Rosa Chaney of Fort Pierce, FL; brothers, Sam Chaney of West Palm Beach, FL and W.P. Chaney of Douglas, GA; and sister Agnes Rowell of Hazelhurst, GA. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Chaney.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM followed by a Service at 1:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
