Letty "Cookie" Helen Barsuglia, 68, of Port St Lucie, FL passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014.
The oldest of four girls, Cookie was born to William and Letty Carr on Nov 11, 1946 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In fifth grade her family moved to New Jersey. She attended Audubon High School and spent many happy years in South Jersey before moving to Port St. Lucie in 1989.

Cookie was a devoted wife and loving mother, but her greatest joy came from being a grandmother. She loved to dance, draw, and crochet. Her favorite moments include appearing on the television show 'Band Stand', meeting Garth Brooks, cruising to the Bahamas, and volunteering at Sarah 's Kitchen. She worked in the banking industry in Philadelphia and at Armellini Express Lines in Palm City, FL.
Those who will miss her include her husband of 36 years Ferdinand "Fred" Joseph Barsuglia (FL). Daughter Vickie Lynne Wax and her husband Terry (FL). Grandchildren Joseph and Evan Wax (MI), Wyatt and Savanah Letty Wax (FL). Daughter Angela Letty Barton (FL) and her husband Donald (ME). Granddaughters Kassie Barton (ME) and Avalonia Jonah "AJ" Barton (FL).
Step-son Joseph Barsuglia and Maria (CA). Grandchildren Joseph and Anna (CA). Step-daughter Kathleen Goad (IL). Grandchildren Frank and Tracy (IL). Step-son Michael Barsuglia and Lis (NY). Step-daughter Lori Murray (NJ). Step-son Fred Barsuglia and Diane (NJ).
Sister Susan Kiermeier and husband Frank (AZ). Nieces Christine Korthaus and Andrea Heuertz (AZ). Sister Diane Clark and husband Roger (NJ). Nephew Greg Bissey and niece Deanna Valentine (NJ). Nephew William Johnson (NJ). Goddaughter and niece Jamie Johnson Norris (NJ). Aunt Martha Eastman (NJ) and Uncle Joe Carr (PA).
As well as her dear friends Mary-Ellen Teufel (PA), Karen Reynolds (FL), and Stephen White (FL).
Predeceased family members include her grandmother Mary "Trum-Trum" Hackbert, parents William James and Letty Helen (White) Carr, sister Penny Johnson, grandson Christopher, and nephews Robert and Gary.
Fred and Cookie Barsuglia's names are engraved in the brick walkway at the Children's Museum of the Treasure Coast in Jensen Beach, FL.
Cookie's memorial will be held at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, December 10 at Palm Gardens, 1751 SE Hillmoor Dr, Port St Lucie, FL.
