Lewis E. Gilliland, age 67, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 in Fort Pierce, FL.
He was born May 26, 1948 in Charleroi, PA to Lewis Emory Gilliland and Margaret Daniero Gilliland. He has been a resident of Fort Pierce since 1972.
Above all else, Lew was a life-long Steelers fan!!! (Enough said). He was also an avid fisherman and scuba diver, enjoyed motorcycles, was an oceanographer, and he enjoyed watching Game of Thrones and Shamelss. He first worked for Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute, then FPL for 20 years, followed by FPUA for 8 years, and last MASTEC. He had proudly served in the United States Army as a Lieutenant J.G.
He is survived by his son, Gregori Neufeld Gilliland and grandson, Grayson Daniel Gilliland of Fort Pierce, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 3:00-5:00 PM in the Haisley Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Pierce.
