LINSEY KELLEY THOMAS, JR.
Linsey Kelley Thomas, Jr., 65, born August 29, 1946 and died on Tuesday, May 29, 2012.
Linsey was born in Phillips, Texas and raised in Ft. Pierce, FL. He attended Dan McCarty High School and served in the US Navy. Linsey was a unique individual, a world traveler who had a special love and respect for the Latin culture. He traveled extensively throughout Central and South America and became fluent in the Spanish language speaking several dialects. Linsey loved to fish, hunt and travel, but what he loved the most was his two surviving children Gaige and Andrea Thomas and his only grandchild, Gaige Thomas, II. Linsey had a special love and closeness with his surviving wife, Polly Davis Thomas, who never left his side during his last weeks of his life. Linsey was a man of integrity and had a soft loving heart to those who were closest to him.
He is survived by his “brother” Scott Thomas, stepson Corbitt Durden, sisters Susan Haislip, Janie Thomas and Mary Thomas.
A “Celebration of Life” will be held at his home at 3139 N. Old Dixie Hwy, Ft. Pierce, FL 34946 at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Please bring your favorite dish and join us to share our memories of Linsey’s life. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
