Lionel A. Varnadoe, Jr.
Lionel A. Varnadoe, Jr., 62, died April 15, 2010 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Varnadoe was born in Jacksonville, Florida and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1981 coming from Gaffney-Union, South Carolina.
He worked for Lawnwood Regional Medical Center for 29 years as a Lab Medical Technologist. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and received his Master’s and PhD from Walden University. He enjoyed reading, playing the piano, traveling and writing. He wrote a book for the Lab Medical Technology and was a reporter for the News Blaze International Newspaper.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Varnadoe of Ft. Pierce, FL; son, Bernard Varnadoe of Ft. Pierce, FL; sisters, Ardith Thomas of Jacksonville, FL, Kathryn Walters of Lexington, SC and Nina Folsom of Live Oak, FL. He was preceded in death by his brother, Marcus Varnadoe.
Services: Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A service will be held on Monday, April 19, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Tommy Neiman officiating at Haisley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
