A loving, compassionate and devoted mother, grandmother, and nurse. She was born September 1, 1970, in Staten Island, NY. She went home to Heaven on May 30, 2024, in Ft. Pierce, FL.
After her birth, Lita’s family settled in Ft. Pierce, FL, where she eventually graduated Faith Baptist High School. After high school, she attended Hyles-Anderson College in Indiana. After college, she spent time teaching elementary school at Faith Baptist School in Ft. Pierce where she was a beloved teacher and friend.
After starting her own family, Lita attended Indian River Community College earning her ASN of Nursing. She worked in several local facilities throughout her long nursing career where she met and kept lifelong friends. She was a passionate and dedicated nurse. She was dedicated to learning and earned many certifications throughout her career to further her knowledge. Her compassion for her patients and colleagues knew no bounds. Lita’s warm and sunny disposition always set people at ease as they faced their own personal challenges.
Lita loved to make others laugh and often provided entertainment that lightened anyone’s mood around her. She was extremely funny and kind. Her enjoyment in making family and friends laugh knew no bounds. She also loved spending time with her beloved pets.
Lita leaves behind her loving five children: Jacob Lange, Jared (Brie) Lange, Aislinn (Mario) Barajas, Avery (Luke) Ward and Aubree Lange as well as her cherished grandsons: Walker and Boone Lange. Lita is also survived by her loving parents, Linda (Tom) Milam and Susan (Tom) Holton Eagle; two sisters and one brother: Jennifer (Walter) Burke, Gary (Wendy) Holton and Shannon (Blaine) Holton Philpot; 9 nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Lita is preceded in death by her father, Gary G. Holton; her paternal grandparents, George and Bernice Holton; maternal grandparents, Jim and Lois Lane, Birchie and Greg Szakovits; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life service will be held June 28, 2024, 12 p.m., at Haisley Funeral Home, Ft. Pierce, FL. A reception will be held at the Haisley Reception center after the service.
Lita will always be remembered by her family and friends for her warmth, compassion and infectious smile setting an entire room at ease. Lita leaves a legacy of caring and compassion and will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity to know and love her.
