Lonnie Ray Peters, 69, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Laurel Pointe
Health and Rehabilitation, Fort Pierce, Florida.
He was born in Elba, Alabama, August 6, 1943, moved to Fort Pierce in 1958.
He served in The National Guard. He was in the cattle and citrus business many years and was harvesting manager for Becker Groves before retiring for health reasons. He
attended Westside Baptist Church.
He is survived by three daughters, Melissa Rae Sutton of
Washington, Pamela Carol Whigham and Sonya Lorraine
Peters (Ralph) Brown of Daleville, Alabama, two brothers,
Bill (Faye) Peters and Bob Peters, sister, Joann (Emmett) Skinner,
Elba, Alabama, 10 grandchildren and a host of nieces and
nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents J D and Kate Peters, brothers James (Mary) A.
Peters, Jimmie (Merle) E. Peters, sisters Mildred Peters Davis and Pauline Peters
Stephens and one grandchild.
Viewing will be from 5 - 7 pm Friday, February 22, 2013 at Haisley Funeral Home, with a graveside service and burial at Crestlawn Cemetery on 20th Street in Vero Beach, Florida at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 23, 2013 with Robbie Neiman, Pastor of Grace Gathering Church officiating.
