Lorraine was born in Biloxi, Mississippi and was a resident of Fort Pierce since 1932, coming from Biloxi, MS.
She was in restaurant management, was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed and was a resident of Spanish Lakes.

Survivors include her children, Layne Strickland of Cocoa Beach, FL, Wayne Burford of Port St. Lucie, FL, Anna Grega of Fort Pierce, FL, Kitty Taylor of Okeechobee, FL, Gary Burford of Port St. John, FL, Donald Burford of Fort Pierce, FL, Melody Money of Woodland Park, CO, 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Burford, and husband, Frank Marshall Burford.
