Louis James Makowski, age 90, of Ft. Pierce, died September 11, 2013 in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.
Mr. Makowski was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1986. Prior to retirement he was a sheet metal worker in the construction industry, member of the American Legion Post 40, enjoyed making stain glass, avid golfer, and proudly served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Makowski of Ft. Pierce, FL, sons; David Makowski of Ft. Pierce, FL, Dennis Makowski of Casnovia, MI, daughters; Susan Krupp of Spring Lake, MI, Mary Jo Bianco of Kissimmee, FL; 10 grand children, and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 5000 Dunn Road, Ft. Pierce, FL, 34981.
