Lucille DellaVechia, 96, died April 21, 2023 in Vero Beach, Florida. Mrs. DellaVechia was born in Sanford, Maine on May 27, 1926 and had been a resident of Fort Pierce since 1996.  

She was predeceased in death by her husband of over 50 years, Nick, daughter MaryAnn, and grandchildren Brian and Mary Ann.

Survivors include her daughter Christine Smith of Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren James MacDonald of Willimantic, Ct; Neil (Delores) MacDonald of Deposit, NY; Craig (Jaimie) Smith of Vero Beach, FL; Nicole (Gary) Minick of Naples, FL; Michael (Sabrina) Smith of Margate, FL; 13 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

She was a long time member of St. Marks Catholic Church in Ft. Pierce prior to moving to Vero Beach where she was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church.

She enjoyed spending time with family, bingo, card games, scratch off lottery tickets, watching The Wheel, football, and cheering on her Florida Gators.

St. Jude’s was near and dear to her heart.  Memorial contributions can be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
