Lyvio Sarrasin, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Lyvio was born on October 20, 1944, in Belle-Jumelle, Haiti, to Anest and Louisnest Sarrasin.
In 1965, he moved to Port-au-Prince, where he met his wife. They dated for four and a half years before marrying in 1972. He sold his paintings before working various jobs at a hotel and as a school teacher at a Christian school. In 1980, he moved to the United States, where he remained deeply involved in his church community. He dedicated his life to bringing his family from Haiti to the United States.
Lyvio was a devoted husband to his wife, Micheline, for 52 years, a loving father of seven, and a cherished grandfather of fifteen.
He was preceded by his son, Lawrence. He is survived by his wife, Micheline; his children, Nathalie, Losner, Arthur, Pierre, Micheline, and Michel; and his siblings, Denise, Armelle, Myrtha, Lucrece, Suze, Florette, and Louis Benoir Sarrasin.
Lyvio will be remembered as a devoted husband, a dedicated father, and a loyal friend
Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM with a service to start at 11:00 AM at the First Church of the Nazarene, 3425 Deberry Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34947. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
