M. Irene Dent, 90, died March 20, 2006, in Port St. Lucie, Florida.Mrs. Dent was born in Everleigh, Wiltshire, England, and had been a resident of Fort Pierce, FL since 1977, coming from Leesburg, VA.Irene was a member of the American Association of Appraisers, the Soroptimist Club of Leesburg, VA, the Garden Club of Leesburg, VA, served during WWII in the British Women’s Royal Air Force Corp, was a long time member of the Fort Pierce Downtown Business Association, was a member of the Democratic National Party, was the business owner of the Fort Pierce Antiques Etcetera for 25 years and was the church organist for St. James Episcopal Church in Leesburg, VA for 20 years.Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, SE Chapter, 8333 W. Dent of St. Cloud, FL; sister, Dorothy E. Friedlander of Sherborne, England; granddaughters, Rachel Summerlin of Fort Pierce, FL, Victoria Frazer of West Palm Beach, FL; Saundra Frazer of Fort Pierce, FL; and grandsons, Christopher Summerlin of Fort Pierce, FL, R. Alexander Frazer of West Palm Beach, FL and Cole Myers of Eustis, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert W. Dent.
