Mabel B. Fawsett, 88, died January 21, 2009 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. Fawsett was born on September 5, 1920 in Sioux City, Iowa to Margaret Ward and Thaddeus Browning.
She moved to Ft. Pierce in 1960 coming from Orlando, Florida. Having traveled extensively throughout the world, she always loved returning to her beloved North Beach home of 48 years.
She was Past President of the North Beach Homeowners Association and was one of the founding board members, member of the Lawnwood Regional Medical Center Auxillary as a volunteer for many years, and also a member of the St. Lucie County Code Enforcement as well as many other civic functions.
Survivors include her stepsons, Robin Fawsett of Orlando, FL and Jeff Fawsett of Gainesville, FL; nieces, Carole McCall of Orlando, FL, Gailey Browning of Eureka, CA, Kim Browning of Sonoma, CA and nephew, Eltinge Brown of La Jolla, CA; precious chosen family, Dolly and Larry Ivey of Ft. Pierce, FL; 4 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. “Fran” Fawsett, Jr. in1991.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lawnwood Regional Medical Center Auxillary, 1700 South 23rd Street, Fort Pierce, FL 34950.
Services: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 from 5-6 PM with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home.
