Madeleine L. Gagnon passed away on May 31, 2024, at the age of 85. She is well loved and survived by her five children; Raymond Gagnon, Donald Gagnon, Diane Ernst, Denis Gagnon, and Steven Gagnon, and five grandchildren; Andrew Gagnon, Nicholas Gagnon, Melanie Gagnon, Connor Ernst, and Brianna Ernst; and former husband Roger Gagnon. Madeleine was born Madeleine Aurore Marie Langlois on May 25, 1939, in Armagh, Quebec province, Canada. She was a quiet, intelligent woman with incredible inner strength and cherished her Catholic faith. She emigrated to Ft. Pierce, FL in October 1960 to marry Roger Lucien Gagnon where they built a home together and raised their five children. Madeleine demonstrated her nurturing nature by her devotion to caring for her family. She loved animals and enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, and learning how to invest in the stock market. She valued education and strove to continue learning throughout her life. In addition to raising her five children, some of her proudest achievements were learning how to drive, earning her high school degree, becoming a U.S. Citizen, and earning her insurance agent license.

A celebration of life mass will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 1924 Zephyr Avenue, Fort Pierce, FL 34982. Following the Mass, the interment of ashes will be at the White City Cemetery, 3800 Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Pierce, FL 34982.
