Mahase Persad

Mahase Persad, 67, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away peacefully surrounded by his beloved family.

Mahase was born in Carmipo, Trinidad to Hans and Sookdia Persad on February 28, 1956. He married his beloved Mala on March 30, 1980 and they had one son, Avinash Persad. 

Mahase worked for the City of Port St. Lucie, FL until his retirement. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed spending as much time with them as he could.

Mahase was an avid fisherman, who loved sharing tales with his family of his fishing exploits.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 43 years, Mala and beloved son, Avinash both of Port St. Lucie, FL. He will be greatly missed by his brothers-in-law, Ishwar Lal of Port St. Lucie, FL and Pree Narine of Coconut Creek; sisters-in law, Pinky Lal of Port St. Lucie, FL and Diana Narine of Coconut Creek. He also made an impact on the lives of his nephews, Rajiv Lal of Orlando, Vijay Lal of D.C, and Travis Nerine of Orlando, as well as niece, Tamara Narine of Ft. Lauderdale. His family in Trinidad, including many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews are saddened by the loss of Mahase. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sookdia and father, Hans.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 12PM to 1PM with a service to start at 1PM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34984. Light refreshments will be available after the service.
