Marc R. Sparko, 78, died November 13, 2007, in Fort Pierce, Florida.Marc was born in Barberton, Ohio and has resided in Fort Pierce since 1978 coming from Akron, OH.Mr. Sparko worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for 18 years before retiring. He was in the U.S. Army Air Corp as a Paratrooper during the Korean Conflict and received the Purple Heart. He raised orchids and loved to fish.Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997.Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Jeanne Sparko, of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughters, Linda Sheets, of Pittsburg, PA and Marie Cutlip, of Akron, OH; son, Marc Sparko, Jr., of Akron, OH; step-daughters, Monica Elifrtz, Marcia Hammett, and Michelle Vrotny, all of Ft. Pierce, FL; step-son, David Vrotny, of Ft. Pierce, FL; brother, Lou Rantanes, of Clinton, OH; sisters, Jo Anne Howard, of Winter Park, FL and Margo Rupe, of Ft. Pierce; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.A celebration of Marc’s life will be held Saturday, November 24, 2007 in the Haisley Funeral Home Chapel with Military honors at 4:00 PM.
