Marcial Montoya Reyes, 85, passed away on March 1, 2020 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Marcial was born in Olancho, Honduras on December 7, 1934 and moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 2014.
Marcial Montoya was an amazing man. He was a man of God, of honor and full of compassion. He was beyond loved and respected by his family, friends and his community. He was the person you always wanted to be around because of his positivity, kindness and willingness to help you. He accepted you and made you feel important. He was more than just a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and son. He was our teacher he taught us many things but the most important lesson he gave us was to be a God centered family. He was our counselor guiding us in the right direction. He was a warrior he fought for all of us all the way to the end. He was our leader, making sure everyone was taken cared of. He may have left this Earth but he will never be forgotten because he showed us what it means to be truly loved by someone. He was a great example of what a person should strive to be, he left an amazing legacy to us all.
Survivors include; his loving wife of 78 years, Gloria Montoya, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, sons; Marcial Roberto (Orbelina) Montoya, of Stuart, Florida, Leonel Fernando (Karina) Montoya, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, daughter; Karla Montoya (Glenn Martinez), of Prairieville, Louisiana, grandchildren; Ana Gissell Montoya, of Stuart, Florida, Marcial R. Montoya Jr., of Stuart, Florida, Gloria Marcela Montoya, of Stuart, Florida, Raul Fernando (Bronte) Montoya, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Marcial A. Montoya, of Pensacola, Florida, Fernanda Montoya, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Glenn Edward Martinez, of Prairieville, Louisiana, Valerya Martinez, of Prairieville, Louisiana; great grandchildren, Luna Montoya, of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Bailegh Jefferson, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, brothers; Nectaly (Gabriella) Montoya, of Honduras, Nelson (Belinda) Montoya, of Honduras, sister; Goldy Pagoada, of Honduras, and Zulema Montoya, of Honduras.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 PM with a service following at 7:00 PM at Haisley Tribute Center, 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd., Port St. Lucie, FL. 34984.
