Margaret L. True

Margaret L. Hendryx-True, age 81, passed away Sunday, March 15th due to complication for congested heart failure.

Margaret was born in Pascala, Missouri to Leslie and Ozella Freeman on June 1st, 1938; the oldest of two daughters. Margaret graduated from Wardell High School in Missouri and attended Arkansas State University where she worked toward her bachelor degree in Education. During her enrollment at Arkansas State, she developed a pen-pal relationship with Carl E. Hendryx of Brookston, Indiana during his time in the US Air Force, which developed into a 36-year marriage from July 23rd 1959, until Carl’s death from a 3 year battle of colon cancer on February 11th, 1995. A few years later, she met a retired minister Frank True and was remarried until his death in December 2018.

Margaret played many roles during her working career including elementary school teacher, mother to 5 children during her marriage with Carl, and spend the later part of her working career in the banking industry as a loan processor and senior loan specialist in several banking institutions.

Family and friends will remember her by loving several things on this earth: Carl, Frank, Jesus, Bluebell ice cream, and most of all- she loved her 5 children: Troy Hendryx, Beverly Hoover, Sean Hendryx, Stuart Hendryx and Cheri Fitzgerald as well as her two step children Eric True and Elisa True Lovrak. She was so proud to talk about how blessed she was to have 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to talk to anyone she met about any of them.

Services will be held at: Tabernacle Church 3280 S. 25th St. Ft. Pierce, FL 34981 Thursday March 19th, 2020. Memorial service at 10 am and funeral at 11 am.
