Marian Gedney Manikas of Demorest, GA, formerly of Ft. Pierce, FL, died on January 25, 2013.
Marian was a microbiologist, ASCP for forty years. She was a recipient of the “Dr. Thomas F. First Humanitarian Award.” Her dedication to her chosen field was eclipsed by her love and dedication to her family and friends.
Survivors include daughter Donna Myers; three sons: John Dake, Jesse Dake and Norman Rohan; daughters-in-law: Jan Dake and Cheryl Dake; grandchildren: Amanda Vistein, Nicole Rohan, Kelly Dake, Mark Dake, Heather Dake, Chris Wright, Alina Dake, Shaina KaltenBach-Monck and Jessica Dake; eight great-grandchildren: Devon, Nicholas, Jordan, John, L.J., Storm, Sophia, Hunter and Cecialia.
Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 5000 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981.
Services: A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Port Saint Lucie. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
