Marie B. Byrnes, 88, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away December 28, 2023.

Marie was born March 7, 1935 in Waterbury, CT to Ernest and Martha Barbieri. Marie attended Sacred Heart High School. Marie married James Byrnes Sr. on June 6th, 1956.

Marie who was affectionately called, Nonnie, Non, and G.G, found her greatest joy in the smiles and laughter of her family. Marie’s faith was the foundation of her being. She instilled her values and her love was palpable to anyone who was in her presence. Her void in this world will not be diminished by time but by the hope of being once again within her arms.

Her survivors include: son, James (Gale) Byrnes Jr. of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter, Sharon (Dennis) Plant of Keystone Heights, FL - daughter, Kathy (John) LaFrance of Port St. Lucie, FL - with whom she resided. She will be forever missed by her grandchildren: Jennifer, James III, Kristina, Krista, Melissa, Matthew and her dear great-grandchildren: Arianna, Guilliana, Gabriella, Haven, Sage, Jordyn, Joseph, Gianna, Nathan, Nicholas, and Christopher. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years and both parents, Ernest and Martha (Jurewicz) Barbieri.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 9AM to 10:30AM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34984. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11AM at the St. Lucie Catholic Church 290 NW Prima Vista Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34983.
