Marilyn ("Red") Hardin, 86, passed away Tuesday, Nov.17th, 2015 in Stuart, FLA. Marilyn was born Oct. 27, 1929, in Kokomo, IN. to William and Ruth Richey. She graduated in 1947 from Kokomo High School, and on June 17th, 1949 she married Jack Eli Hardin from Greentown, IN.
Marilyn and Jack moved to Florida with their children in 1959. For more than 26 years, Marilyn was the executive secretary to the president of Pratt & Whitney aircraft, while raising 4 busy children. Living in the Jupiter/Tequesta area, Marilyn was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, the Jaycee's, and an active member of the Jaycee's Wive's Club.
It should be noted, that Marilyn's passion was music. Whether playing clarinet in the band, the orchestra, and participating in the annual Hullabaloo, Marilyn's most happiness came from singing with the Sweet Adeline's. She was a noteworthy voice with the Royal Palm Chorus, the Sound of Sunshine, and the Women Of Note. In Stuart, she sang with the Treasure Coast Community Singers.
Along with her deceased husband, Jack, Marilyn is survived by her two daughters, Pamela Brasch and Lori Hardin; her two sons Michael and Jefferson Hardin; her sister Roberta "Bertie" Wilson, her 8 grandchildren, and her 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services are 12:30 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 24th at the Church of the Good Shepherd at 400 Seabrook Dr. Tequesta.
