Carmen Marina Gonzalez (Rivera), 87, passed away peacefully at home on the afternoon of April 16, 2025

Carmen “Marina” Gonzalez was born on the family farm in Lares, Puerto Rico December 26, 1937. She was born to the late Felipe Neri Rivera and Ramona Rivera (Arvelo). Marina came to this country, settling in the Bronx, New York in search of better opportunities. It is here where she met and fell for the love of her life, Angel Luis Gonzalez. Marina and Louie married in 1959 and went on to have 4 children together. The Gonzalez family enjoyed many adventures together such as: going to the beach, amusement parks, family vacations, and plenty of house parties. Marina was an expert seamstress and spent many decades in the profession. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, and playing her scratch offs! Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her large loving family.

Marina leaves behind her 5 children: Elizabeth Reyes (Simon), Angel Luis Gonzalez JR (Tanya), Juanita Blanco (Herbert), Carmen Gonzalez, and Richard Gonzalez (Desiree). 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. 3 sisters, 1 brother and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Angel Luis Gonzalez, her parents, and 3 sisters.

Marina, or as her grandchildren knew her as: Nana, loved her family more than anything. The smells from her kitchen, the smile on her face, and the unconditional love she provided will be missed by all who knew her.

Services: Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025 from 6PM to 7PM with a Memorial Service to start at 7PM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34984.
