Mark Francis DeAtley, 60, died December 18, 2013 in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Mr. DeAtley was born in Portsmouth, Ohio and moved to Fort Pierce from Mankato, Minnesota when he was 17 years old.

As a Friend of Bill’s, he had 20 years of sobriety and guided others by sharing his recovery. He was committed to his brothers in trade, Local 452, and passed along his knowledge and expertise by teaching classes. Always willing to help those in need, his generosity and kindness will be forever remembered.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Serena DeAtley of Fort Pierce, FL; daughters, Jennifer (Randy) Howard of Boynton Beach, FL and Serena Thomas of Fort Pierce, FL; son, David (Allie) DeAtley of Oak Grove, KY; brothers, Michael (Marianne) DeAtley of Portsmouth, NH and Edward J. DeAtley of Fort Pierce, FL; sisters, Rebecca DeAtley of Orlando, FL, Debra Atkins of Marion, NC and Carol Martz of Lanark, IL; 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
