Mark Daniel Hammond, age 54, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020.
Mark was born in Warsaw, New York on October 13, 1965. His family moved to Florida in November, 1973, settling in Martin County. During his school years he was active in baseball as a catcher and enjoyed surfing and golfing.
Mark spent his career working as a chef in various local venues such as The Breakers and Admiral's Cove as well as high-end restaurants in New York City. country clubs in Michigan and North Carolina, and as Managing Chef of the Brownstones in Norfolk, Va. He was proficient as a kosher chef working and traveling with various organizations during Passover for many years.
The love of his life was his daughter, Ava. One of his greatest regrets was the inability to spend more time with her either in person or on the phone.
Mark was predeceased by his father, Lee Daniel Hammond. Mark is survived by his daughter, Ava of New York City; sister, Paula Hammond O'Neal (Donald) of Fort Pierce; and mother, Norma Hammond of Fort Pierce.
