Martha L. Atkins, 91, died June 10, 2016, in Vero Beach, Florida.
Martha was born in Tupelo, Mississippi and moved to Fort Pierce in 1944 coming from Jonesboro, Arkansas and most recently lived in Vero Beach.
She enjoyed sewing and needlepoint, reading, working crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. Martha was retired from the State of Florida Insurance Commission and was a member of First United Methodist Church, Fort Pierce.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Mary) Atkins of Vero Beach, Fl; daughter, Gail (Brian) Simmons of Fort Pierce, FL and grandchildren, Tyler Atkins, Kyle Atkins, Natasha Simmons and Joshua Simmons.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 616 Orange Avenue, Fort Pierce, FL 34950 or to the VNA Hospice, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 2:00-3:00 PM followed by a Service at 3:00 PM at the Haisley Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Pierce.
