MARVIN JOSEPH MORO, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, U.S, soldier and trusted friend, went to his heavenly home on October 16, 2024, at the age of 87. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Born on February 19,1937 in Ste. Genevieve, MO to Russell and Irma Moro, Marvin graduated from Ste Genevieve High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1955. He served his country for 2 years with18 months deployed in Japan after WWII. Upon returning in 1962, he met the love of his life, Helen Louise Winters. The couple married a year later June 1, 1963. They would soon have daughters Tonia Louise and TaTrina Ann and set their sights on the warmer climes of South Florida.
Marvin and his family moved to Miami, FL in 1969, where he would begin his real estate career alongside Helen both obtaining their real estate salesman licenses in 1972. He worked part-time in this industry until he studied and obtained his broker’s real estate license.
Marvin loved sailing and their young family headed out on their catamaran sailing in Biscayne Bay of Miami, FL and the FL Keys several times a month.
They moved to Lake Worth FL in 1977 where Marvin and Helen opened their own Real Estate brokerage firm after Marvin obtained his broker’s license in 1980. Marvin was instrumental in helping lots of Floridians buy their first home, a fact that gave him and his family great pride.
He was a jack of all trades and could fix almost anything. It was a skill that would serve him well when he and Helen began buying and remodeling properties in Palm Beach County for investments. Family and friends would also frequently call on Marvin for his expertise and guidance with their projects.
Marvin and Helen moved to Ft. Pierce, FL in 1994, where he stayed involved in real estate throughout much of his life. He was a parishioner at St Mark Catholic Church, a member of a local Toastmasters club and a proud grandfather to two beautiful grandchildren. He enjoyed connecting with people and having passionate discussions about the issues of the day. Marvin was fond of humor and recently let on that he liked to joke with people so they would remember him. As with most things Marvin put his mind to, he was successful.
He always had a twinkle in his eye and a big smile for all that knew him.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Helen, his daughter Tonia Louise Moro and her partner Robert Stone of Medford OR, his daughter TaTrina Ann Cianfrance and her husband Robert Louis Cianfrone of Santa Monica CA, his grandson Matthew Louis Cianfrone, and his granddaughter Keegan Ann Cianfrone.
