Mary Joyce Cummings (Shelton), 87, passed away on May 30, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Stanford Cummings and her partner of 35 years, Martin Apolzan. She is survived by her three children Cathy Dickenson, Kevin Cummings and Timothy Cummings, six grand children and nine great-grandchildren.
She was born in the Mars Hill area of North Carolina, raised in Johnson City Tennessee, moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1954 and lived her last 40 years in the West Palm beach area of Florida. Mary was one of twelve children of Frank and Tilda Marie Shelton, and is survived by her brother Ted.
“Miss Mary” was known to light up a room with her stories and humor. She loved jewelry, her plants, Christian and country music as well as cruising Spanish Lakes in her Jazzy scooter.
