Mary Ellen Tompson, 85, died May 12, 2011 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Ms. Tompson was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1993 coming from Sea Grit, New Jersey.
She graduated from Skidmore University in Saratoga Springs, NY. She retired after 25 years of being a teacher. She was a member of the Indian River Presbyterian Church, member of the Ruth Circle at Indian River Presbyterian, National Organization for Women, and past member of the Older Women’s League.
Survivors include her brother, Richard Tompson of Salt Lake City, UT and many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Tompson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Indian River Presbyterian Church Youth Fund, 2499 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, FL 34982.
Services: A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Indian River Presbyterian Church.
