Mary Gergora, 92, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2020 in Port St. Lucie, FL.
Mary was born in Cordele, GA on August 29, 1928 to Joseph & Bera Culpepper.
Mary taught dance at Arthur Murray Dance Studio and was also owner, with her husband George, of Plantation Pit Barbeque, Branding Iron and Dixie Catering, all in the Greater Miami area. She was the best mother to her children and the greatest wife to her husband George, whom she was married to for 63 years.
She loved to dance, go on cruises, play games, cook, laugh, and most importantly, spend time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Georgann Gergora of Port St. Lucie, FL; sons, Ed Gervais of Port St. Lucie, FL and Rudy Gervais of Orlando, FL.; five Grandchildren and six Great-Grandchildren; and half-brother David Culpepper of West Palm Beach, FL.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Gergora; parents, Joseph Culpepper and Bera Schwarzwald; sister, Elva Dorminey.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 12:00PM at Woodlawn Park South Cemetery in Miami, FL.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Haisley Tribute Center, 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd., Port St. Lucie, FL.
