Mary Lynne St. Jacques

Mary Lynne St. Jacques, 70, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016 in Port Saint Lucie, FL.
Mary was born on October 10, 1945 to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ward. She grew up in and around the city of Detroit and eventually attended Marygrove College there. Mary earned degrees in Early Childhood Education and spent most of her career teaching kindergarten in Florida, Virginia and Maryland. She was also a nursery school director for a time in Rochester, NY. She loved children and was known for her kind and gentle but effective approach. Mary was a woman of faith and an active practicing Catholic. She spent many years instructing children in her Religion. Mary met her husband Mike in 1966 on a blind date while they were both in college. They fell head over heels in love and were married in August 1967. They recently celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary.
Mary is survived by her husband, Mike, her sons Michael II and Frank, her brother James Ward and her niece Theresa Warner as well as many neighbors, friends and colleagues.
Mary’s life will be celebrated at a Funeral Mass to be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 930 SW Tunis Avenue Port Saint Lucie, FL 34953 on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 11AM.
