Matthew James “Matt” Halsey, 37, passed away on September 18, 2019 in Fort Pierce.
He was born January 2, 1982 in Lansing, Michigan.
Surviving are his father, Mike (Kathy) Halsey of Fort Pierce; mother, Karen Halsey of Vero Beach and Matt’s sister, Sarah Halsey of Vero Beach.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, H. Dean & Dorothy Halsey and Louis & Katherine Bower.
Matt was a kind and gentle man who was a joy to be around. He was always very helpful to all the good people in his life. Matt was never a man of great wants and lived a very simple life and so loved his family and friends. The greatest joys in his life were his cars, mopeds, shooting, the beach and the love of his pets.
In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to a No Kill Animal Shelter in Matt’s name.
A casual celebration of Matt’s life with family and friends will be Friday, September 27th from 4-6 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
