MATTIE MELISSA WARREN DEBERRY MARK

Mattie went home to her Lord on September 10, 2024, at 100 years of age.

Born in Shelby, North Carolina, to Chilvis and Pansy Warren, Mattie lived her young life as a farm child with siblings, Lola, Arthur and Ollie Mae; all predeceased her.

Married to James R. “Jack” DeBerry, Jr. (d. 1982) and again as a widow to John “Jack” Mark (d. 2012). A professional seamstress and superb baker, her family was blessed by her talents. 

Survived by her five children, Nancy Rebecca Thibeault (Thomas) of Bunnell, Florida (grandchildren Tammy, Michael and Tracy), James R. “Butch” DeBerry, III, of Melbourne, Florida (grandchildren John and Dana), Thomas W. DeBerry (Gwenda) of Ocala, Florida (grandchildren Amber, Thomas Jr., and David Turlington), David D. DeBerry (Robin) of Vero Beach, Florida (grandchild Tealia) and Barbara DeBerry Herring, of Vero Beach, Florida.

Also survived by eight stepchildren, John Mark (Judith), Daniel Mark (Rhonda), Deborah Mark, Taffy Mark, Faith Johnson (George), Annie Mark-James (Chris), Jennifer Mark and Mark R. Mark (Luz). Predeceased by Thomas Mark.

A service will be held at Haisley Funeral Home, 3015 Okeechobee Road, Fort Pierce, Florida on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 10 o’clock.
