Maxine H. Neier, 80, died December 24, 2008, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Maxine was born in Kenver, KY, and was a resident of Fort Pierce, FL since 1991, coming from Geneva, IL.
She retired from Western Electric after 28 years, was extremely active in Grandparents Rights and through her efforts the Illinois Supreme Court passed laws guaranteeing Grandparents the right to petition the courts for visitation rights.
She was a former President and Vice President of High Point of Ft. Pierce, Sec. III, Condominium Assn, a volunteer for the Fort Pierce Police Department and a 36 year member of the Women of the Moose.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra J. Randhan of Fort Pierce, FL; son, Lewis D. Beckwith, Jr. of Port St. Lucie, FL; four grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made in Maxine’s memory to Victory Word Church, 4000 S. US1, Fort Pierce, Florida 34982.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
