Merritt Reimert

Merritt Reimert, 88 of Fort Pierce, FL, formally of Emmaus, PA died peacefully on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Lynmoore Assisted Living.

 Born in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Russell and Ida Reimert and brother to Carolyn Geiger. Merritt graduated from Allentown High School, Class of 1953 and co- chaired his class reunion. He was a graduate of Muhlenberg College, class of 1957. Merritt was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Boston, MA and a past reader at the Allentown Branch church.

 Merritt retired from Mack Trucks in 1987 but continued employment with Knoll, Inc until 2001 ending 44 years of employment.

 He enjoyed fly fishing, golf, bowling and a love for all genres of music.

 Merritt is survived by his four daughters; Laurie Reimert Russell, wife of John Russell, Concord, CA; Holly Reimert Thomas, Bethlehem, PA; Kelly DiMarco, wife of Thomas DiMarco, Nazareth, PA and Julie Reimert Dobrick, Greensburg, PA.

He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. 

 A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
