Michael Dipalma

April 7, 1916 — July 25, 2009

Michael DiPalma, 93 died July 25, 2009 in his home. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts and lived in Port St. Lucie for 29 years coming from Michigan.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Frances DiPalma; daughter, Carolyn DiPalma of Seattle; daughter & son-in-law, Patricia DiPalma and Allan Packer of Seattle; granddaughter, Morgan Packer of Seattle; sisters, Florence Fusco of Cape Coral, Rose Manica of Olathe, KS; and brothers, Benny DiPalma and Joseph DiPalma both of Cape Coral. He was preceded in death by his sons, James and Richard DiPalma.

He was an outdoorsman and avid fisher, member of the First United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge #386. In 1974, he retired from Chrysler after 39 years. Mike will be remembered for his love of life, voice of authority, strong opinions, wanderlust, handyman ingenuity, encyclopedic knowledge of geographic trivia, storytelling and devotion to family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, July 31, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church, Port St. Lucie with the Rev. S. Renee Lawrence officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church. Burial will take place at All Saints Cemetery in Jensen Beach.
