Michael A. Durette, 73, died April 16, 2023 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Durette was born in Manchester, New Hampshire and resided in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Michael graduated from Dan McCarty High School and then served in the U.S. Army Air Corps ASA during Vietnam.  He retired from the St. Lucie County School Board as a project manager. He enjoyed fishing, computers, tech & gadgets, and traveling.

Survivors include his wife, Gwenn Durette of Fort Pierce, FL; children, Michael (Ale) Wayne Durette of Fort Pierce, FL, Deborah (Wayne) Buxton of Gordon, AL, Shawna (Zach) Splain of Xenia, OH, Samuel Durette of Fort Pierce, FL, Scott Durette of Fort Pierce, FL, Shaunna (Marcus) Kelly of Quinton, NJ, Walter (Jenny) Kroeplin of New Paris, PA, Laurie (Michael) Brennan of Port St. Lucie, FL, Ashley (Patrick) McKelvey of Carneys Point, NJ; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Pauline and sister, Patricia. 

Services:  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM at White City Cemetery.
