Michael J. Wickett

“Mailman Mike”, loving husband, father, grandfather (Grumpy) and friend, lost his fight against cancer on March 8, 2007 surrounded by his family in the home he loved.He was employed as a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Stuart, Florida for 22 years. He served the United States Air Force as a Certified Dental Lab Tech & Instructor from 1976 to 1984. Michael graduated from Madison Senior High School in Mansfield, Ohio.He is loved and remembered by his lifelong love and his wife of 29 years, Stephanie Wickett of Fort Pierce, FL; his son, Christopher (Stacey) Wickett of Fort Pierce, FL; his daughter, Jennifer (Akirsy) Payamps of Orlando, FL; three grandchildren, Sydney Wickett, Isaac Wickett and Lilah Payamps; his mother, Doris Wickett of Bradenton, FL ; his sister, Diana (Bruce) Kelly of Mansfield, OH; brother, Terry (Maryanne) Wickett of Chandler, AZ, as well as his father & mother-in-law, Richard & Elaine Ridgway of Ft. Pierce, FL; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, and his canine companions, Oscar and Roxy . He is preceded in death by his father, Miles Wickett of Mansfield, OH.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Michael’s memory be made to Treasure Coast Hospices, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.
