Michael Carl Larson

Mike passed away on September 19, 2021 @ 11:46pm.
The youngest of four children, Mike was born on May 24, 1951, in Duluth Minnesota to Carl and Shirley Larson.
He is survived by daughters Jill Arnold (Chris, his favorite son-in-law) of Fort Pierce, and Katie Hudson of Okeechobee FL, and his sweetheart Debra Mulrooney of Fort Pierce, FL. Granddaughters Hayley Arnold (Erik Nemoga), Erin McKinney (Justin), Blair Arnold and Bailey Stuhr. Great grandchildren Amberlee McKinney, Clayton McKinney, Raegan McKinney, and Reese Nemoga. Father Carl A. Larson of Hermantown, MN, sister Claudia Cottingham of Hermantown, MN, brother Dave Larson (Jane) of Gainesville, GA and brother Steve Larson of Trinidad, CO.
He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Larson (Riner), stepmother Beverly Larson, and former wife of 28 years Susan Hulme (Larson).
He graduated Hermantown High School Class of 1969 then joined the United States Navy and served in the Vietnam War. After the navy he attended Indian River Community College in Fort Pierce, Florida where he was pursuing a Criminal Justice degree. Later he joined the Chandler Family and worked for Chandler Equipment for about 30 years, then has worked for St. Lucie County Mosquito Control until present (where he had planned to retire January 2022).
He was an avid golfer (let’s not kid ourselves he LOVED golf), he loved his family, his country, and fishing. He was a great cook and baker and loved his sweets, especially a blueberry dessert of any kind.
He loved BIG, and to know him was an honor. He was the best dad, father- in- law, Papa, and friend that anyone could have!
Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 am with a service to follow at 11:00 am at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
