Michael F. Shade

 Michael F. Shade, 79, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, currently of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away July 17, 2023.

Michael was born August 24, 1943 in Bellevue PA, and graduated from Oliver High School before joining the United States Army.

After being Honorably Discharged from the Army, He worked in Pittsburgh at the Purolator before moving to Boynton Beach, FL. In Boynton he worked for Builders Square and then Distribution Services Inc. (DSI) until his retirement.

Michael was known for his steadfast faith and served with his love as the Extra Ordinary Special Minister of Holy Eucharist of St. Lucie Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, FL. He was also a member of other Catholic organizations such as Capuchin Franciscan Province of St Mary of New York and Franciscan Friars of Atonement.

Michael will be forever remembered by his family for his tinkering and fixing things around the family home. He will be deeply missed by the family he cared so deeply for, wife Nancy; daughter, Beth Birkeland; grandchildren, Lauren Shade and her partner, Ryan Nasso; Deven Schwindt, Sara Greco, Skye Birkeland; great granddaughter, Claire Schroeder. Survivors also include sister, Susan Gally and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Francis Shade and Wilma (French) Shade.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Lucie Catholic Church or any charitable organization of your choosing.

Services will be held privately by the family at a later date.
