Milan Kolpak, 76, of Ft. Pierce, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at his home.
He was born October 28, 1939, in Czechoslovakia, the son of the late Michal and Drahomira (Tomsova) Kolpak. He has been a resident of Ft. Pierce since 2000, coming here from Milford, NJ.
Mr. Kolpak was a Navy veteran, having served aboard the USS Bigelow.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a steam engineer for the water company.
He fishing in the ocean and deep sea fishing. He was also an avid bowler, a loved attending the reunions of his shipmates of the USS Bigelow.
Milan was the husband of the late Kathleen (Bull) Kolpak, who died in 2014, and is survived by a daughter, Debbie Kolpak of Fort Pierce; a brother, Michael Kolpak of Washington, NJ; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Miro Kolpak of Plano,TX, who died in 2006.
