Mildred C. Newell

Mildred C. Newell died December 21, 2007 in Lake Worth, Florida.Mrs. Newell was a native of Newark, New Jersey and came to Fort Pierce from Clermont, Florida in 1958.She was retired and a former dancer in many musical shows on Broadway. She was of the Southside Christian Church, past president of the Noblettes, Zuliema Club and of the Power Squadron Auxiliary, “The Towlines”. She was a member of the Elkettes, The American Legion, Women of the Moose, and a charter member of the Daughter of the Nile and the Noblettes all of Ft. Pierce.Survivors include a son, Clark D. Newell and Lois of North Palm Beach, FL; two grandsons, Clark Newell, Jr. and wife Patricia of Annandale, VA and Ryan C. Newell of Atlanta, GA; two cousins, Charles Conrad of Doyle Town, PA and Bernice Connolly and Joe of Short Hills, NJ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Newell in 1979.Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605, or to the charity of one’s choice.Services: A private inurnment will be held at Riverview Memorial Park at a later date.
