Mildred Regina (Carey) Tozour“Granny”/“GG”
Mildred R. Tozour, of Fort Pierce, FL, died on April 13, 2006, peacefully at her daughter’s home. She was born in Phildelphia, PA and came to Fort Pierce in 1949, coming from Villas, NJ. She was a retired Attendance Clerk and Alternate School Assistant for the St. Lucie County Schools. She was a partner with her husband, John Tozour Builder. She was a strong advocate of family values and known for her cooking skills. She loved to travel and was a Charter Member of St. Lucie County Adopt-A-Road program, picking up litter and trash, almost daily, for over 30 years on Tozour Road. She was an avid fan of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Bill Hearn of Fort Pierce, FL; grandson, Ed Hearn and his wife Tricia of Lenexa, KS; grand-daughter, Deborah Hearn Shannon and her husband Tim, of Newton, NC; grandson, Tom Hearn and his wife, Trish, of Lincoln, NE; great-grandchildren, Cody Hearn of Lenexa, KS, Jack and Cassidy Shannon of Newton, NC and Sierra Hearn of Lincoln, NE; sister, Myrtle Datz of Mullica Hill, NJ; brother, William Carey of Glassboro, NJ. She is predeceased by her husband, of 54 years, John Tozour; 5 sisters, 3 brothers and her parents.
