Minerva "Mindy" Rios-Aguirre

Minerva “Mindy” Rios- Aguirre, 69, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away March 29, 2021 at her home with her family.

Mindy was born on January 31, 1952 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico to Secundino and Sixta Cruz. On September 7, 1982 in Astoria, New York Mindy married Carlos Aguirre. She received her Master’s in Nutrition in New York and worked as a dietician until her retirement.

Mindy loved attending family events and traveling with family. She also enjoyed going to concerts. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with all of her grandchildren.

Survivors include loving husband, Carlos Demetrio Aguirre of Port St. Lucie, Florida; son, Andre Aguirre, and daughter, Abriana Aguirre, both of Port St. Lucie, Florida; grandchildren, Marcus Aguirre, Nivea Aguirre, Isaac McCartney, Emory McCartney, Mia Aguirre, and Elias Vasquez, all of Port St. Lucie, Florida; Sister, Rosa Arrastia of Tampa, Florida; brothers, Eluid Rios of Souderton, PA and Rubin Rios of Morton, PA; sister, Margarita Vasquez of San Salvador; sister, Nellida Santana of Coral Springs, Florida; and brother, Hiram Rios of Jersey City, New Jersey. She was predeceased by her mother, Sixta Cruz Rios and father, Secundino Rios.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Grace Emmanuel Tabernacle 1470 SE Huffman Road Port St. Lucie, FL 34952 at 4PM.
